Not only did you flood the RNIB with nominations, but we also received so many lovely calls and emails to our office, telling us what a significant difference Synapptic has made to your lives. We are so touched by your comments and the volume of your nominations.
More than anything, it has always been our mission to open up the world of technology to people with sight loss and we’re so pleased to see this happening every day!
The nominations opened in November 2021 and the original deadline was Friday 17th December. The RNIB received such a massive number of nominations that the original deadline was extended to midnight on Sunday, 9th January 2022.
There are 7 award categories to choose from, with Synapptic being nominated for the ‘Design for Everyone Award’. The RNIB describes this award as follows:
“Nominees will have demonstrated a commitment to continuous development in accessible design, creative use of technology to improve accessibility or simple solutions into everyday experiences that make life easier for blind and partially sighted people.”
As many of you already know, we are committed to continuously developing Synapptic, so that our users can have access to the very latest technology, which is demonstrated by Version 8, our latest software release that includes 20 new features!
